App/Tech Tool Review: Storyboard That: https://www.storyboardthat.com/

“Storyboard That” is a technology tool to support classroom instruction. It is an online storyboard easy drag-and-drop creation platform that offers a free version and a premium subscription version with a plethora of abilities. The tool can be accessed by using the link above or by typing storyboardthat.com in the search engine. This technology is recommended to be used by students from 5th to 10th grade to create beautiful visuals for teaching, learning, and communicating. It also enables students to create a digital story in minutes using images, text, and storyboard templates.

The digital tool will enable educators to use their lesson plan ideas for different genres of literature that include standards, essential questions, instructions, a blank template, and a rubric, Rosters can be created for my classes which is compatible with popular learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Clever, Canvas, ClassLink, and Schoology. In addition, assignments can be share with students and keep track of their progress as well as view their work in real time.

For the instructional activity, in groups of two students will use the “Storyboard That” to create a character map that outlines the character's physical description, traits, how the character changes, and the challenges the character faces. Students will also create a Venn diagram graphic organizer to compare and contrast the two main character traits.

It is a resourceful tool that can be used for any discipline because of its many visuals and templates. I would recommend it for upper elementary students

Triple E Measurement Tool: The ratings of the technology tool used in the lesson are supported by the fact that the students will use the digital tool to demonstrate a more creative way of achieving the learning goals. The tool use also fosters differentiation and the skills garnered can create opportunities for students to use outside of a classroom setting.
